Kingdom Bound 2005

Hello Everyone!
Okay, this is my first entry, so I’m a little new at this! This past week I went to one of the largest Christian festivals in New York State (July 31 – August 3) – Kingdom Bound! If you aren’t sure what the festival is all about check out the website (www.kingdombound.org)!
This year is the 19th year of the festival and I am amazed when I think about it that this is my family’s 18th summer going – Wow!! This is one of my favorite family traditions that I love going to Six Flags, Darien Lake for the festival every year! Next year I’ll be in South Korea at the end of my contract teaching English, so I’ll miss it very much. But right now I know I won’t be able to go there every year after this summer but I hope to at least go every other year! The festival has been a blessing for my family over the years to enjoying the rides at the park, the laser show and camping (especially the campfires – s’mores) to various concerts, the worship tent and the speakers! One of the nights we were there we sat around the camp fire roasting marshmallows and sharing stories of the previous years at the festival – aw memories!
Over the years my mom has been organizing a group of campsites for people and this year we got a special treat, the staff at the Kingdom Bound office gave my family reserved seats for the main stage!! It was awesome, we got centre stage, the sixth row from the front for all the concerts! Some of my favourite concerts were: Newsboys, David Crowder band, Toby Mac, Mercy Me and Michael W. Smith!
So, if you never been to the festival I encourage you to go next summer! Where else would you go to celebrate the Lord with 65,000 other Christians?

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go.
