My birthday in Korea!

What a great day I had on my birthday!

Yesterday the staff at my school threw a surprise birthday party for me. I totally didn’t except it! They sang for me, and we also had pizza and donuts! This morning I got a couple of surprise phone calls from my parents and one of my friends at home! This afternoon I was supposed to meet up with a volunteer group that works with orphan girls but for some reason it didn’t work out 😦 But I still got to enjoy the beautiful scenary, and see Korea’s small mountains!

And…this evening I met up with four of my friends from Prov (my school in Manitoba) and also one of my Korean friends I met in Toronto! We went out for dinner and celebrated! Oh…by the way I did have one adventure on my birthday! I accidently left my keys in my apartment and locked the door. Getting locked out of your apartment on your birthday isn’t all fun but my friends cheered me up and we managed to easily break in by using a credit card!

Thanks everyone for your birthday e-mail cards and other birthday greetings you sent me to wish me a happy birthday! Thanks also for your continual prayers. God is good and each day is getting a bit better.

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
