My Parents got Kittens!!

Last Wednesday morning (May 17) I checked my e-mail and I got a complete surprise! My parents got two kittens and I was very shocked. I was so happy to hear of the news and see the pictures they sent that I started crying. My family used to have a cat. Her name was Tiger and she lived a long happy life (17 years). When she died it was very difficult because we were very close to her and she was a very affectionate cat.

I am a cat person and I have wanted to get another cat for a while now but my parents didn’t want another one at the time. So, I just said that I will get a cat when I am more settled (I still want to do that!). I literally had no clue at all that my parents were thinking of getting another cat, and they not only got one but two – wow!

They are both girls and are now 7 weeks old. They are so small and cute!! Their names are Grace and Libby. My mom named one of them Grace and I named the other one (the stripped one) Libby. I am so thankful my parents allowed me to name one of them because I’m all the way here in Korea and they are in Canada and I won’t see them for another 3 months. My brother told me they do everything together (eat, play, sleep, etc)! It’s so cute they will grow up together as best friends!

It is so difficult to wait until September to see them and hold them – ah!! Until I see them in person I will just have to get lots of pictures of them and watch them on webcam.

Here’s a couple of pictures of them:

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
