A Busy Sunday

Today I had a busy day. This morning I went to church and it was a great service. After the service I asked for prayer for direction for the next step in my life. God reminded me to wait on Him and rest in Him, which is really hard to do someimes! Then after the service I had some really good conversations with people at church in the lobby. In a couple of weeks my church is having a "taste of the nations" event where people will represent their country of origin for the missions conference and my Senior Pastor volunteered me to do a Korea table. So now I need to gather some Korean students and friends to represent the table with some Korean decorations and food. Please pray for that, it’s on November 5th at 6pm. Then our Youth Pastor asked me today if I would like to speak to the youth about my experiences in Korea. I told them I would, even though public speaking is not my thing! I’ll share some stories and pictures, it should be good and I hope to encourage the youth. Please pray for that, it’s on November 10 at 7:15pm. Thanks!

Tonight my brother and I went to Carruthers Creek Community church in Ajax for the young adult service. My friend Ange told me about it. I met her at Liquid Soul which used to be their young adult service but then they canceled it because they started another service at their church on Sundays geared towards young adults. That was a bit disappointing but I continued to be apart of my small group from Carruthers until I went to Korea and I really enjoyed that! I really enjoyed Liquid Soul but the only thing was it was just too big which made it hard to get to know people. A couple of weeks ago I got together with my friend Ange and she told me Carruthers is started another young adults service called Awakening. I went tonight to give it a try and I really enjoyed it and my brother did too! The nice thing about Awakening is, it’s a lot smaller (30 people compared to 100 people!). We had a time of worship and sermon time. The sermon challenged me to reflect the glory of Christ. Come check out Awakening sometime! It’s every other Sunday!
