My cousin’s bridal shower

My family went to the States this past weekend for my cousin’s bridal shower. My Mom’s side of the family lives in Rochester, NY. The shower was on Saturday at 2pm. We left our house around 8:20am, so I had to get up earlier then usual! We made good time with the traffic. We arrived around 12 noon. We went to my grandma’s house and then headed to the shower.

It was a great shower and it was really nice to see Amanda and Miguel again and give them my congrats! The shower was at a park at a cabin. It was really nice. There was around twenty people who came. We ate lots of food, played games and my cousin Amanda got really nice gifts! Of course we took lots of pictures too.

My cousin Amanda and her fiance Miguel are getting married on April 28 in Puerto Rico. They make such a great couple!! My parents and my brother will be attending their wedding plus they will be going on a cruise the week before but I won’t be able to go because I’ll be in Romania. I feel a bit jealous that I can’t go on the cruise with my family or attend the wedding but it will be worth it going to Romania. I’m really glad I was able to attend her bridal shower though!

Saturday night we stayed at a hotel with friends of my parents and their kids. We had a good time together. Then on Sunday we spent the day with my grandparents and then headed home. We pulled into our driveway at 11:30pm. What a busy weekend but it was a great one!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
