February was such a busy month!

This month just flew by so fast! It was a month of non-stop fundraising appointments for my upcoming mission trip in Romania. I had 20 appointments this past month, which was the most appointments I have ever had in a month. It was really great to connect with so many people, especially after being away for a year. It was such a blessing to get to know my supporters more and share my passion that’s on my heart for Romania with them. The more I shared my testimony of the journey of how God has led me to serve Him as a missionary, the more God reminded me of His faithfulness in what He has called me to do. God also taught me to really rely and depend on Him more and more as I continually stepped out of my comfort zone. I don’t think I have ever felt so afraid to pick up the phone to call to make appointments with people but God helped me do it and I’m glad I did!

During the week I not only had fundraising appointments but I also continued to teach English at Calvary church on Tuesday evenings and volunteer at Little Blessings preschool. I enjoy teaching English and I can’t wait to get back into it full-time when I return to Romania. Volunteering and working as a supply teacher at Little Blessings, especially over this past month has been a blessing beyond I ever expected! The children and staff are so wonderful and I’m learning so much. I’m really starting to bond with the kids and I’m getting quite attached to them. It’s going to be hard to say good-bye to them in a month!

Well I will head to Romania in one month’s time! I still need to raise another $400 a month to meet my monthly budget for Romania. Please pray for me that all of my support will come in before I leave, thanks so much!!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
