I got my hair permed today

This afternoon I went to Little Blessings preschool where I have been volunteering there with the kids. I had a great time with them! I mentioned to the parents that I only have one more week left at the preschool because I’ll be going to Romania in April. The ones I spoke to sounded sad that I’ll be leaving soon. I put a sign up on the bulletin board about my upcoming trip to Romania. I guess no one read my sign because when I spoke to them they sounded surprised that I’ll be leaving soon. I was thinking don’t you read the signs! Oh, well…at least I started telling some of the parents that I have a week left. I’m going to miss the kids so much! I really grew quite close to a lot of the kids I work with. I’m definitely going to take in every moment with them next week as it will be my last week with them!

From 4:00- 6:00pm I went to the hair dressers and I got my hair permed and trimmed. Now it is super curly again! I wasn’t going to get it permed again but when I was looking at my pictures from Korea and I saw how my hair looked curly, I missed it. The great thing about getting my hair permed is a lot of people think it’s naturally curly. It’s great that it looks natural because that’s the way it should be when you get your hair done.

Enjoy your weekend!

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. We cannot thank you enough for your sacrificial contributions for over 2 years in our group as a teacher of ESL to our Internationals from Korea, Japan, Chinese and a combination of other 23 nations who have come to us.  We spent time praying for you tonight, liifting your present mission needs to the Almighty Father.  Sorry we could not organize a proper send off for you.  We in fact hope to have you in our midst in the future and will look out for an opportunity to celebrate.
On behalf of ISMC, City of Toronto Team and all our team in Calvary Church, please accept my big THANK YOU!  May the good Lord see you through in all that you set your heart to do for Him=  May you end well in Him.
