church conference

On Saturday (May 19) I went to a church conference in Reghin. On Monday and Wednesdays another teacher (Either) and I go to Reghin to teach two English classes at the community centre there. Either teaches an intro level class and I teach an intermediate level class. In both of our classes we have students who go to the church to the church in Reghin. In fact we even get to attend part of their service on Wednesdays before we teach our classes!
Our students invited us to go to the church conference which was on Saturday. We told them we would go and I’m so glad we did! The conference was from 10:30am to 6:30pm. There was many churches that were invited to the conference from different cities – Targu Mures, Sighisoara, Bucuresti and other cities. I was able to meet a lot of people and I even met some people from my home church I attend here in Targu Mures! I prayed for a unity to be along the people who went to the conference and I really sensed that throughout the day.
The theme of the conference was "Gata pentru Gloria lui Dumnezeu", which is translated as "Ready for the Glory of God"! The whole day was such a blessing. The worship time was amazing and I’m so thankful that I’m really starting to feel comfortable worshipping God in Romanian! Oh, yeah the conference was all in Romanian! I was a bit hestiate to attend the conference because I knew it would all be in Romanian and my Romanian isn’t that good but God provided translation for the sermons and prayer time! One of my students (Gabriela) translated for me the whole day and also another student I have in my class (Csaby) translated one time.
We certainly got to hear God’s word preached throughout the day! I think I heard five different Pastors preach throughout the day (all of the sermons were based on the theme). That was the first time I heard so many sermons preach in one day but all of them were good "meaty messenges"!
The Pastor from Bucuresti was the last one who preached and when he finished preaching he told us he has oil and he wants to anoint us with oil and pray over us for God to anoint us to equip us to be God’s instruments. He then invited anyone up front who wanted prayer. I wanted prayer, so I went up front. I realized that people who pray for you don’t have to speak the same language as you do for God to work in your life! I just want to give God praise for the work He did in my life at the conference. The Lord revealed to me His love in a new way and he also did a deep healing in my heart as well. God is so good and I want to give Him all of the praise!
Thank-you for praying for me. I really appreciate it a lot. I’m so thankful for everything God is doing in my life during this time I’m in Romania. Please continue to up lift me in your prayers. Blessings to you as you intercede for me!
