Liberate in Christos!!

This is the theme of the church conference that was in Reghin last weekend (Friday October 19 – Sunday October 21) and it was awesome!! In English the theme is Freedom in Christ! Pete Duke (my director’s Pastor from England) who spoke at the church camp I went to in June came back to Romania to speak at the conference which was such a blessing! It was great to see Pete again and tell him all of what God has been doing in my life since camp. There was also a lot of people who attended the conference that were at camp. It was like a camp reunion! I stayed at Gabi’s place (she was one of my students I taught last term in Reghin) for the weekend. It was a blessing to spend time with her and her son Radu because I do miss teaching her.

The conference actually started on Thursday evening but I couldn’t go until the Friday evening service because of my teaching schedule. I wish I didn’t have to miss the first two services of the conference but I’m thankful that I was able to attend the rest of the weekend. During the weekend God spoke to my heart and filled me up with His Holy Spirit. People had the same hunger at the conference as they did at camp which was really great!

On Friday evening God spoke to my heart to not fear anymore but to trust in Him with all of my heart, especially in the area of learning the Romanian language. God told me I’m going to learn the language and to believe it in my heart. Ever since then God has been giving me more opportunities to speak in Romanian and I’m improving more and more! I feel so encouraged because learning a language is not easy for me but God has given me more faith that I will learn the language!

On Saturday morning Pete spoke about reaching the lost and having a passion to tell people about Jesus. As he spoke about sharing God’s love with pepole I started to think about the orphan and gypsy children. That morning God gave me a new heart to reach out and love these children the way Jesus does. When people prayed for me I wept for them and God filled my heart with His love for them. On Saturday evening we had an outreach service with a powerful drama presentation that was put on by the youth from Noul Legament church (The New Convent). It was great to see so many people come out and also to see people come to the Lord that night too! Sunday morning at church was the last service of the conference and it was another great service!

I just want to thank God for such a wonderful weekend and for everything He is doing in my life! Dumnezu este asa de bun! (God is so good)
