my first Romanian concert

Last Saturday (October 27) I attended my first concert here in Romania! One of my students I teach in my Intro A class told me about this concert in class. She told me there will be a band called "The Messengers", they are Romanians but are now living in the States and they are doing a tour here in Romania now. I never heard of the group but I told her I would think about going. Then when she gave me an invitation of the concert at our next class I got really excited about the concert because then I found out "Decean" will also be there! I have some of Decean worship music on my computer which I got from some of my Romanian friends and their music has been a real blessing to me.

After the pizza and games social event at the school I headed over to the Teatrul National (The National Theater) for the concert with the young adults group from Noul Legament (The New Convent) church. The concert was free which was a huge blessing and I’m sure that’s why they had such a great turn out! The Messengers sang first. They are a group of three men. I enjoyed them but I wasn’t too familar with their music. After they sang we had a 15 minute break before Decean came on.

Decean did an amazing worship concert! They had the words to their songs up on the wall behind them which was really great. At one point during their concert the lead singer Nick shared from his heart. I didn’t have anyone translating for me so I made sure I listened very attentive and I was surprised how much I understood! Nick shared how we need God and how we are changed and transformed in His presence. It was such a blessing for me to see how passion the band Decean is for the Lord and it challenged me too, to keep on seeking God with all of my heart!
