staff Christmas lunch

This past Sunday (December 9) we had our staff Christmas lunch. We had it a bit early because our secretary Niss will be going to Ireland this Saturday to spent Christmas with her family. Niss invited us over to her place to have it there and we had a great time!

We had a potluck lunch like we usually do when we have our staff get together for special events and the food was great! Kevin’s wife Cristina made chili, Einer brought the bread and cheese, Alina cooked the corn, Bryan brought apple cobbler for dessert and I brought toss salad. Mihai was supposed to bring the drinks but he got off the hook because we had so much left over from the graduation!

We ate and enjoyed being with each other. We exchanged our secret Santa gifts which were full of fun surprises! Einer got quite the hat and Niss got an interesting outfit! We all had some good laughs! Then we watched Charlie Brown’s Christmas (after several attempts we finally were able to see it from Kevin’s computer) and all of us (except for Kevin, Cristina and Joshua) stayed until late that evening and had fun playing Dutch Blitz. Oh, yeah we ended up ordering pizza for another meal!

We all had such a great time and what a blessing it is to be a part of such an amazing team! They are like my family here and I praise God for them!!

We meet, assemble to know solitude
And compassion, and comraderie with unusual
    Happiness and perhaps towards
    a Greater Goodness.
