the amazing race!

I just finished watching the reality TV show “The Amazing Race”! I downloaded the entire season and watched it with my roommate Hilya and two other teachers (Bryan and Alina) at our apartment here in Romania. I was never into reality TV shows but The Amazing race is a great show to get hooked onto because you see so much of the world that I would never have seen if it wasn’t for this show. This was the twelve season of the Amazing Race, so it just goes to show how well it is doing!

If you don’t know about this show I will tell you briefly about it. Phil Keoghan is the host of the show. It starts off with eleven teams of two that all have existing relationships prior to the race (through family, dating, married or just friends). They travel around the world and the team that crosses the finish line first receives a prize of one million dollars!

On this season they went to ten different cities in ten different countries and they went to four different continents. They started off in Los Angeles, then Ireland, then the Netherlands, then Burkina, then Lithuania, then Croatia, then Italy, then India, then Japan, and then Taiwan and their final destination was Alaska! Each leg of the race they needed to complete different culturul tasks. It is so interesting to watch and it really opens your eyes to the world we live in!

TK and Rachel (dating couple) won this race!! I am so happy that they won because they were one of my favourite teams. They got along so well and were so sweet together! Ron and Christina (father and daughter) came in second place and Nick and Don (grandpa and grandson) came in third place.

What a great race! It is such a blessing to be able to download TV shows on the internet and enjoy them while you are overseas. I highly recommend you to watch the next season of Amazing Race! I got Hilya, Bryan and Alina hooked on it and I’m sure you would love it too!
