half way there!

This week is our half way point of the winter term at the school. It’s amazing how quickly time flies by that it’s already midterm week! Today I gave out the midterm tests to my 1a class and yesterday my students in my Intro B class also did their test. I know that no one likes tests but it does help us the teachers know how our students are doing in their English. After this week there is only five more weeks left of this term which means I’ll be going home soon!

So far I’m really enjoying this term. It feels even busier than the previous terms but I love it. God has opened up another class for me to teach children! Now I am teaching three children’s classes at school and another one at Rozmarin. I am also teaching two adult public classes as well.

This term my teaching schedule looks like this:

          Older Children’s class (ages 11 – 14 years old): 4:00 – 5:30pm

          Intro B level adult class: 6:30 – 8:30pm

English class at Rozmarin with gypsy children: 12:00 – 1:00pm

          Younger children’s class (ages 7 – 10 years old): 3:50 – 4:50pm

          Younger children’s class (ages 7 – 10 years old): 5:00 – 6:00pm

          1a level adult class: 6:30 – 8:30pm

Same schedule as Monday

Same schedule as Tuesday

On April 2nd I’ll be flying home for 6 weeks for fundraising and to visit family and friends! I’m looking forward to my time at home. I’m also very excited of how God has provided two new teachers that will come at the end of March to join our team here in Romania! Victoria who is from the States and Sean who is from England (originally from Ireland) will both come here and begin teaching in April! James who is the son of Jon and Margot from Australia has also officially join the team as of last week and he will be teaching the children’s classes next term which is great that we can keep them running while I’ll be in Canada! God has been amazing me by His divine provision lately! We have been praying for teachers. God is so good and so faithful!!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
