Sunday May 11th, it was my last Sunday at my home church in Canada (Christian Life Centre, Ajax Ontario). Actually it was only my second Sunday out of the six weeks I was home that I was at my home church which I kind of feel bad about that because the other four weeks I visited my relatives and I was away on vacation with my family. Well I’m sure everyone at my church understood that it was going to be a busy time for me while I was home so maybe I don’t have to feel too bad about it!
The service was great and a very busy full packed one with being Mother’s Day, a baby dedication and Pentecostal Sunday. By the way, Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms! My Pastor gave me around five minutes to share about Romania. I didn’t share very long but I just wanted to give people a summary of what I do in Romania. I do praise God that I’m getting less nervous when I speak in public. That’s a huge praise report because I used to be very nervous and afraid but now it’s getting better. Thank-you Lord!
After I shared my Pastor invited me to stand down in front of the stage. My Pastor asked all of the people on the missions committee, the Pastoral stuff and other people in the congregation to gather around me and then they prayed over me and my Pastor also prayed for me too. It really meant a lot to me that my Pastor gave me time to share about Romania and for the church to pray for me as well. It is such a blessing to have your home church stand with you and be behind you as you serve on the mission field not only financially but especially in their prayers!
I was able to connect and talk to some people after the service which was great because a couple of them it was the first time I actually got to see them while I was home! Some people I spoke to couldn’t believe that it was my last Sunday at church and I will be going back to Romania already. They were like “wow, where did the time go, it was like you just got here!” I told them that is the same thing I felt because I couldn’t believe how fast the time just flew by while I was home.
It was great to see some of my supporters and friends at church one last time before I flew back to Romania, even if it was for a short time! I will miss everyone at church very much!! If you are reading this and you are from CLC, please know that you are in my thoughts, prayers and my heart. You are my church family in Canada and I am so appreciative to be apart of such an amazing church that’s passionate for God! Be blessed!!
