Today I had a very busy day! This morning I slept in until 10am and started my day off with the Lord in His word and in prayer. It was great to begin my day with God! I really would like to do that every day and not just when I have time in my day.

At 12:00pm I went to the foundation’s office where I made photocopies for the colouring sheets for the English class and then Norbi and I left for Sabolciu at 12:30pm. Mircea did not go today so Florin went with us. Florin was going to help me with my English class but when we got there we found out that we couldn’t use the small room that I use for my English class because they were using the room to build a sink under the tap. So, instead of doing both the Bible and English clubs today we just did the English club in the main room of the church.

Yesterday I did not teach my Thursday English class because the children in that class were not around so today I taught both my Thursday and Friday classes together. So, today I taught twelve children with both classes combined which was the first time I taught that many children at one time in Sabolciu! Thankfully Norbi was a great help to me to me today and we were able to have good control in the classroom.

I taught colours again today. The children did well. My Thursday’s class knew the colours better than my Friday’s class which is interesting to see the different learning process between the classes. It is good to see the children progress in their English but ultimately I desire that these English classes be an instrument to building a close relationship with the children and also for them to draw closer to the Lord.

When I came home from Sabolciu I had an hour before I needed to head out the door again to go to Stefy’s church. While I was home I took a quick shower and grabbed a bit to eat. I also phoned Steve who was one of my former co-workers while he was at Life and Light group home and I was able to speak to some of the children there. It was really great to speak to some of the kids even if it was only for a couple of minutes! They all asked me when I’m going to visit them. I guess they miss me! Yeah, I really miss them too. I hope to go to Târgu Mures to visit my friends and the children there sometime next month in June. Please pray that would be possible, thanks!

Yesterday when I met with Stefy he invited me to his church for the youth/young adults’ service that is every Friday evenings at 6:00pm. I had to take two trams to Nufărul which is where the church is located. It took me a bit longer then I thought it would take (I had to go across the city) so I felt a bit nervous that I was going to be late but thankfully the service started a bit late and Stefy was there waiting for me at the station to show me where the church was.

My first impression of “Centrului Crestin Salem” church was wow this church is big! It looks like quite a new church even though it was built 10 years ago. The sanctuary is very big and very modern. Every Friday evening they have an average of 160 – 200 youth and young adults that go to the service which is amazing! Stefy told me it is the largest gathering in Oradea for youth and young adults at church. Today Moses came to the service and sang a couple of songs. Moses is from Africa and he is a missionary with YWAM in Târgu Mures. It was nice to see him again.

The service was definitely geared towards young people with funny videos, music and a testimonial fun interview. I really enjoyed the layout of the service! The worship time was incredible! They have a full band with the worship leader on the keyboard, three guys played the guitar and one guy played the drums. I think all of the songs were translated from the Hillsong worship songs from Australia. It was like a Hillsong Australia church but in Romania! It was truly awesome to see everyone excited as they passionately worshipped God! Everyone worshipped God with such full surrender as they didn’t holding back anything. There were quite a lot of people who worshipped God in the front. A lot of people jumped, danced, clapped and raised their hands. It was awesome to be a part of a worship time like that! More than anything though as I worshipped God, I felt God’s presence so real and tangible in that place. I can’t remember the last time I went to a church service and felt God’s presence like that (maybe the last time was at camp last summer). It was just so awesome to be in God’s presence this evening and I long for that more and more! I felt so free to sing in tongues and just worship Him. Oh, how He alone is worthy of all of the worship!!

The Pastor preached a good sermon too on living your lives in total surrender to God with the purpose and plan He has for your life. After the sermon Stefy introduced me to Pastor Ted. He seemed really nice and welcoming. It was good to meet him. I would really like to check out the church’s Sunday morning service to see how it is so I’m going to go there this Sunday.

I am just in awe of how God reconnected Stefy and I! I am really glad I went to church this evening. I still really need close friends and I still really feel it is very important for me to have a prayer partner. I’m not sure if God wants me to go to this church regularly or not so we’ll see. For sure though I’d like to go every Friday evening to the youth and young adult’s service. I just have such a deep desire to be in a place with believers that are passionate for God, where I can grow and where I can get connected to people who will encourage me to grow in God.
