I woke up this morning tired because I didn’t sleep too well (maybe I thought about my bathroom problems all night?). Right away in the morning around 9:00am I decided to call my landlord about the problems I have in my bathroom to see if it is possible for him to come over and repair them today. Thankfully he had no problem to come over right away and told me he would be at my apartment around 10:00am so I phoned Norbi and told him I wouldn’t be able to go to Sabolciu today. I explained to Norbi that I needed to get some things repaired in my bathroom and my landlord would come over in the morning. Thankfully Norbi understood and had no problem with that.

My landlord came over around 10:00am and he was so considerate about the concerns I had with the bathroom. I am thankful he wasn’t upset or anything like that especially since I asked him if he could come at such short notice. He repaired my light in my bathroom (it wasn’t jusut the cover but also there was a loose connection with it) and then he repaired my toilet. Wow, what a nice landlord I have and such a blessing from God!

Yesterday Andreea asked me if I was going to go to the chapel they have every Friday afternoon for the orphan kids at CP2. I wasn’t planning on going but after she asked me I told her I would go. However when I went today she didn’t go which was a bit disappointing. It was a good chapel though. We had guest speakers (a couple) and they did a presentation on their wrap up “sex talk” they have been having all week with the orphan teenagers.

I was going to go to the youth and young adult’s service at my church but during the chapel I felt very fatigued to the point where I could barely keep myself awake so I decided to just go home afterwards. In the car ride back to Rogerius (that is the neighbourhood I live in) I called my friend Dana and told her I wouldn’t be going to church because I felt too tired. The couple that came to the chapel didn’t know I spoke Romanian so they were quite surprised with me after I got off the phone with Dana because our entire conversation was in Romanian (we spoke about things too and just over 5 minutes)! They told me they were quite impressed with my Romanian and asked me why I didn’t speak in Romanian with them. I told them I don’t know and maybe because sometimes I feel nervous when I speak in Romanian but with some people I don’t feel nervous at all and my friend Dana is one of those people that I don’t feel nervous when I speak in Romanian. I really have to get over my nerves!

After we said our good-byes I went to Carrefour Express to do some grocery shopping and then I spent the rest of the evening at home resting and just enjoyed being with my cat.

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
