This morning I felt a bit tired. I really must go to bed earlier! I went to Sabolciu again with Norbi and Lidia. We had another great time with the children. We taught a different group of kids animals from the animal book and then we coloured with them. We even did a bit of English with them. I was surprised that a couple of the kids remembered their colours! I’m looking forward to teaching them English again in September.

After my morning in Sabolciu I went back to the foundation’s office to finish the team booklets for our next team that will be arriving on Saturday afternoon. I had to update the weather and then print them. Updating the weather didn’t take such a long time but it was the printing that took longer than I expected it to take (that took an hour and a half for 22 booklets). When they were finished I was glad because it was the first time I did it by myself the correct way and with colour! Our first team we had this summer I had no idea how to print the booklets because no one trained me on how to do it and I ended up cutting them up, stapling them and making a smaller booklet without colour which didn’t look good at all. I felt so embarrassed but honestly I didn’t know how to do it but now I know!

I had an amazing evening!! Around 4:00pm I met Lidia again for an evening out with the kids from CP2. We took the taxi to CP2 to take Cristi and Andreea on a special evening out. It was so sweet how happy and excited Andreea was when she saw me! She ran up to me and gave me a big hug! When we told her that we’re going out for a couple of hours she was so excited that she took me to her room and wanted to put on another outfit of clothes. She asked me why I didn’t come last week. I told her that I had a cold and felt very tired after the camp. I am glad she understood and was okay with it.

After Cristi and Andreea were ready we went to MacDonald’s for dinner. On the way to MacDonald’s Laura who was another translator called my phone. I was surprised she called me because she didn’t have my number. She got my number from Mircea and phoned me because she didn’t have Lidia’s number of the phone she had with her. So, Laura joined us at MacDonald’s with another orphan girl (Alexandra) from CP2. We had a great time at MacDonald’s together. I even felt appreciated too by Andreea of how thankful she was to have dinner there and she never complained or whined once at dinner or the rest of the evening. She had an amazing attitude the whole evening!

After dinner Lidia had a great idea to go to Felix to show the children there the fish and the turtles. The kids loved the surprise and they seemed to enjoy every moment! We also took some great pictures too. After our time there we took the kids back to the orphanage. I had a really great evening with Lidia and Laura and the three children – Andreea, Cristi and Alexandra!! I would love to do this more often (once a week or twice a month). Today I asked Andreea if she has a mentor. She told me she does but also told me I could be her mentor too if I’d like too. I told Andreea I would first talk to Tabita to see if that would be okay with her.

Oh, when I got home from my amazing evening I discovered I had another problem in my bathroom (this morning my light went and I wasn’t sure how to change the light bulb with the covering that was over it). My toilet had a problem this time and I panicked because it looked like there was a leak in the tank and water was running nonstop! I didn’t know if there was a crack in it because I have one of those old toilets where you pull the string to flush it or if it was something else. It was too late to call my landlord when I got home so I just tried to cover it with tape to try and stop the water from running. I will just have to call my landlord in the morning. I hope I won’t be worrying all night!
