Mittens for Romania!!

My Dearest Supporters and Friends,

My wonderful parents are putting together a great project for the beautiful gypsy children in the Sabolciu gypsy village where I work. In the winter time in Romania it

can get very cold here and the gypsies especially feel it even more because they do not have heat in their homes (they do get a little heat from their little stoves). I remember when I visited these precious children for the first time last year in December when I was checking out Pathway to Joy Ministries to see if God was leading me to serve with them. I will never forget how cold they were and some of their little hands felt like ice. So, here is the project! My parents are collecting mittens, hats and scarves for all of the children. If you could knit or purchase these items it would be greatly appreciated! There are 56 children that live in the village (29 boys and 27 girls).

If you are at all interested in helping with this project please contact my parents (Dale and Patty Weber) directly. Actually my Mom is heading up the project so actually you can contact her directly. Here is their e-mail address:

Oh, and my Mom would love to get this sent out when she goes to the States for the American Thanksgiving holiday at the end of November on the 25th. For some reason it is cheaper to mail packages from the States compared to Canada so my parents usually mail package to me from the States.

Thank-you in advance and blessings!!

P.S. If you feel led in any way to help with the cost for the mailing that would be greatly appreciated because I know it will not be cheap to mail this box/ package to Romania. There is no obligation to help with the cost of the mailing but if you would like to help with that please let my Mom know. Thank-you!!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
