Sunday November 7, 2010

This morning I woke up tired but this time not just because I was physically tired but because of my eyes was sore. Yesterday my eyes ended up being sore and tired the majority of the day because my glasses were out whack. I couldn’t believe the difference it makes when your glasses are slightly out of line from where they usually are.

The church service was really good this morning but it was very difficult to concentrate because of my eyes. My friend Ela translated the sermon for me again which was a blessing. I told Ela what happened to my glasses yesterday. She told me I could go to her optometrist (she doesn’t wear glasses so I didn’t even know she had an optometrist but I found out she has contacts) but I doubted they would be open today since its Sunday. She also told me I could try the Lotus mall because there is an optometrist and eye glasses store there too.

After church I decided to go to Lotus mall and see if the store was open to get my glasses re-adjusted. I am so grateful that the store was open, I was able to communicate without any problems in Romanian and the first time my glasses were adjusted it was as good as new again! Thank-you Lord!! Even though my glasses got re-adjusted it still took time for my eyes to adjust back and they were still sore so I decided to take a nap when I got home. I ended up taking a two hour nap. I guess I was tired! Minnie was even good for me and had a nap with me which was sweet. I love my cat so much and I couldn’t image my life without her now but sometimes she can be a little brat. Oh, well what can you do?

I ended up not going to my small group today because by the time I got up from my nap it was too late to go and I still had to do my laundry too. I do like my small group at my church but sometimes though I find it exhausting traveling home after church and then traveling all the way back to the other side of the city three hours later for my small group. For my other small group it’s not a problem because it’s on Tuesday evening and it is only ten minutes by the tram and not 45 minutes. For my small group from Viată Nouă church we are also doing a Beth Moore study and it’s in English too which is a blessing to not have to struggle with the language but just enjoy the teachings and conversations.

Before I went to bed I spoke to my Mom on Skype for an hour. It was good to talk to her. My Mom told me about the mission’s conference our church had today and the international lunch they had as well today. Oh and our new Senior Pastor started today! His name is Sam. He is married and has two children. My Mom told me he moved to Whitby which is the same city as my family lives. Hopefully we’ll be able to connect soon on Skype or by e-mail. I praise God for bringing us Pastor Sam to our church!
