This evening I went to my women’s Bible study. It was a great teaching by Beth Moore. The very DVD teaching that we heard today is the exact same one that I heard a year ago when I stayed at my director’s house. When I heard it last year it was at that time that I had been praying if God wanted me to serve with Pathway to Joy Ministries or not. It’s hard to believe that I have been in Oradea almost 9 months already!

When I heard the DVD teaching last year it really spoke to me a lot and when I heard it again today God spoke to me again so strong about the area of fear I struggle with in my life.  Did you know the most frequent command in the Bible is to fear not? I sure God wanted to make that very clear to us to not be afraid but to take courage and know that He is with us and will never leave us.  Can you image living without fear? Can you image if we broke free from fear?

Some other things I got from the DVD teachings were: We can protect ourselves so much that we protect ourselves from fulfilling our calling. It just takes one brave decision away to change and fulfill your destiny. Courage is when you look flat in the face of it and don’t deny it. Courage comes from a heart that is convinced that you are loved. God offers us His courage and presence. We just need to take it. God doesn’t want conditional trust but He wants complete trust. Wow, God taught me so many truths tonight!

After my Bible study I spent the rest of evening at home with my sweet Minnie! I watched a bit of TV and worked on my blog. I’m really looking forward to seeing the season finale of Skating with the Stars which I’ll get to see tomorrow!

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go.
