Saturday December 25, 2010 – Christmas Day!

Today I had a wonderful day on Christmas day. I really missed being with my family because for me Christmas is a very special time with my family. I am so grateful though for the great day God gave me today. I met my friend Kathy and her two daughter’s downtown Oradea around 12:15pm to go together to the family’s home we were invited to but first before we left I took pictures of the nativity scene. The city put together a beautiful display of the nativity scene downtown in front of an Orthodox church. I don’t think I would see that in Canada!

We had lunch with a Hungarian family. The names of the married couple are Magda and

The two families I spent Christmas with.

Kalman and they have a daughter named Briggy. They are such a wonderful family! I actually met them before when I first moved to Oradea. Kathy invited me to join them for their Easter dinner so I met them back in April and also Kalman was at the prayer conference I went to in September. I had a great afternoon with them! We ate lots of delicious food, sang Christmas carols and had some great conversations too.

In the evening I called my Grandma’s house and I spoke to everyone that was there for Christmas. It was great to speak to my parents, my Grandma and everyone else who was there. My Grandma had a full house! This is something that is always hard when you are away from home to not be with your relatives for the holidays. It was a good day! I hope you had an amazing Christmas with your family too!
