This morning I started my day off with the Lord. I am really starting to enjoy my time with God in the mornings but I still find it difficult to get up at 6:00am. I really need to continue to ask God to help me with this because I knew it wouldn’t be easy so I need to continue to push through the initial stage of starting to get up early in the morning. I am so amazed though how good Minnie has been since I started to get up early.

Normally in the mornings Minnie has the most energy but since I started my quiet time in the morning her behaviour has been amazing! I really praise God for that because if she continued to have that super amount of energy in the mornings then I would be very distracted but now the only distraction is for me to get past the tiredness and being sleepy.

This afternoon we got to spend almost two hours in Sabolciu with the children. I had such a great time with the kids. Today I got to see a newborn baby at the village. She was just born at the hospital in Oradea last Sunday. She was so tiny and cute! Her name is Roxana Andreea. I can’t get over how many babies there are now at Sabolciu! So many kids! Picture this – The family that just had the baby now has ten people living in their two room house! Eight children and two adults in a small two room house! Can you image that?

Tomorrow Mircea and Norbi cannot go in the afternoon because they need to take one of the kids to the hospital in the morning so I will stay home and finish catching up on my blog so I can hopefully get my newsletter sent out. It is very icy in the village and one of the boys fell and broke his leg. Poor kid! I am so grateful that I got to spend almost 8 hours with the children in Sabolciu this week which is awesome!! I just thank the Lord that He is increasing the hours I am having in the village!

This evening I went to my friend Ana’s place to hang out and pray with her. I didn’t realize that my friend Etyela lives with her so it was nice to see her again and also spend time with her too. I met Ana when we went to the conference in Timisoara. We had a great time together this evening. We talked, we sang a couple of worship songs, read some scripture passages and prayed together. I had been praying for a prayer/ accountability partner to have here in Oradea since I had moved here. I was so happy when she told me that she is interested in being my prayer partner when I asked her when we were in Timisoara! I am so thankful for God placing Ana in my life!

When I got home after my time with Ana and Etyela I checked my e-mail and I got an update from Steve and Tiffiny! All the papers are finished and Steve will be picking up the passport for their baby tomorrow morning!! Praise God and thank-you to everyone who prayed for them!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
