This morning I started off my day with the Lord. It was great but I feel like I’m struggling to stay awake sometimes. I guess I’m still not used to getting up this early. It will take at least a couple of weeks. I read on the internet that it takes at least 21 to make a habit or anywhere from 30 – 40 days (it depends on the person) however the interesting thing is it takes 90 days to break a habit. Wow, so I need to give myself grace and just allow God to keep pushing me out of bed in the mornings no matter how tired I feel.

I went to Sabolciu gypsy village with Mircea and Norbi today. We had a great time with the children. It is nice to have a more regular program now with the children and to be working all together. Towards the end of our time with the children before we left I had quite an interesting experience at the village. A priest and his assistant came to the village to bless all the families. They went to each house to bless the children with water and I even got blessed too. The kids were so cute how they ran into their houses and they kept yelling “preot este vine!” (priest is coming). Oh, what an interesting life I have here in Romania!!

In the evening I just stayed home. I was going to have my Romanian lesson today but then I decided to cancel because I needed to work on my blog so I can start working on my newsletter. I also watched a bit of TV and chatted on messenger.

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
