Monday January 10, 2011

This morning was the first morning that I did my quiet time in the kitchen and Meg in the other room. I was a bit concerned if I was going to wake or disturb her because she didn’t need to get up so early as I did but everything was okay and even my cat behaved fine too. I praise God that I am still able to continue my time with Him in the mornings even when there is someone else at my apartment!

Today we didn’t go to Sabolciu so I went instead with Meg and Dani to the orphanage for a few hours in the afternoon to spend time with the children there. The kids were really happy to see Meg and they were surprised too because I don’t think a lot of them knew she was coming back! When Pathway to Joy did the orphan choir tour in the United States from March – April 2009, Meg and her family hosted them one night. At one point when we were at the orphanage it was like a choir tour reunion for her!

I felt so happy for Meg and the children getting reunited! I also had a great time too just hang out with the children too. After we spent time with the children we went to the mentors meeting. It was nice to be at the mentors meeting and I was even blessed to receive a gift from Tabita (a storage box). Meg and I got a ride home which was another blessing. I got talking to one of the mentors that I didn’t really know and I found out that she used to live in Timisoara and she also has been to the school of worship at the Agape church too. It was great to meet Sorina and get to know her a bit more.

In the evening I relaxed at home. I watched one of my favourite TV shows – Extreme Makeover Home Edition (I just love that show!). Oh, yesterday I got this terrible cold and I think today it started to get worse because my nose was constantly running, I was sneezing and I had a little cough. It is so not fun when you are sick! I bought some medicine today so hopefully that will help. I would really appreciate your prayers for me to get better real soon, thanks so much!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
