Today I was SO encouraged by how the program went at the Sabolciu gypsy village! I really just want to praise God that we had such an amazing day! I went with Mircea, Norbi and Meg from 1:00 – 2:30pm in the afternoon. We were only there for an hour and an half but our time we had was very effective and God definitely gave us a high quality time with the children! I think we had like 18 – 20 children in the church (various ages but mostly the younger children).

Before we went to Sabolciu Meg and I came up with a program to do with the children there. The children listened and behaved so well which was awesome! They were interested in praying. They enjoyed playing the games we played. We sang four songs and they just love singing so doing the “choir” for the video won’t be a problem that we’ll be doing for one of the fundraising projects for the educational centre!

We taught the children the Bible verse “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). We taught the scripture verse in Romanian so in Romanian it’s “Pot totual în Hristos, care mă întăreste (Filipeni 4:13). The children did a great job and then we sang a song with the scripture verse in it! At the end of our time there we coloured with the children. I praise God for what HE did today!!

God is so good and I just feel encouraged by how today went! We would really appreciate your prayers for our daily ministry that we have with the children at Sabolciu that we will continue to have effective and quality days there. Thank-you so much for your prayers!

In the evening I went to church for the youth and young adults service at my church. Before I went to church I met with my friend Ana for 15 minutes to pray and talk. Originally we were going to meet for at least an hour but on the way back from Sabolciu we had to get medicine for the children and it took much longer then we had expected to at the pharmacy. I felt so bad that I was so late meeting Ana. Thankfully she wasn’t upset at me.

It was so nice to meet with Ana, pray for each other and then go to church together. Church was great! I couldn’t believe how many people went. There were so many that they had to add more chairs! The worship was great and the sermon was good too. Pastor Ted spoke about delayed promises from God. I was reminded and challenged to keep trusting in God and to keep believing by faith even if I don’t see those promises come to pass right away because God has the perfect time for them to come. So, it was a good day!
