This afternoon I went to Sabolciu with Mircea and Norbi. Meg was going to go too but it was at the last minute that we went to Sabolciu because we thought we might not be able to go today so Meg ended up staying at the hospital with the babies. We had a great time with the children and I was really glad to see Maria again! I hadn’t seen her in a month because her Mom doesn’t usually let her go outside when it’s cold outside but today wasn’t as cold and it was so great to see her again.

We brought the children inside the church where we did a program with them. I was so impressed that the children already memorized the scripture verse that we have been teaching them (Philippians 4:13)! Mircea told them a Bible story on Daniel and the lion’s den. The children enjoyed colouring today like they usually do. Oh, I had a great interaction with Eliza today. It was so sweet when we sang together with the rest of the children. Eliza and I just looked at each other as we sang the songs. I just love those moments!

In the evening it was nice to talk to my Dad on Skype for around 25 minutes even though he didn’t give me 100% of his attention (I guess he got distracted by the computer!). It was also really nice to talk to my friend Cristina from Târgu Mures on yahoo messenger. We talked for a while about different things but especially about doing our quiet time with God. We both encouraged each other to keep on going forward with our quiet time.

At the end of our conversation we decided to give each other a beep (a beep is when you call someone and then you hang up) to remind each other to do our quiet time, to let each other know we are thinking about each other and praying for each other too. Wow, I had no idea that Cristina and I would continue to be prayer/ accountability partners even from a distance! What a blessing from God!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
