Today I was so happy that finally we were able to go back to Sabolciu after missing three days this week. Before we went to Sabolciu we went to the Bucur’s house so I could drop off my package to Karen for her to give to my parents. Tomorrow morning she is flying to Canada for a week to visit her parents so I am thankful that finally my Mom will get the picture CD of the project she organized and I’ll get a package from them too!
After our quick visit at my director’s house we stopped by the “House of Joy” to show Meg the house before she leaves. Going to the “House of Joy” was kind of spontaneous as Meg and I chatted with Cornel and he asked her if she would like to see the house. I told Meg that we are already so close to the house since we were in Cihei and it was only a 5 minute drive from here.
For me personally I am so glad that we went to see the house because the last time I saw it was in the summer time after the orphan camp with the team. When we saw it then the upstairs was not done but now the walls are completely done and freshly painted. The rooms look nice! There is also a fence around the house too. Now they just need the electric work done, furniture and the kids!
There is also a small garbage/ house that will eventually be turned into a place for the summer interns. Oh, today I found out that Pathway to Joy bought Aubrey’s car for the summer interns which will be so great for them to have a car! I think Pathway to Joy still
needs to raise the operational cost plus they don’t have house parents yet so there are still a lot of things that needs to be done but I know that God will provide!
Our time in Sabolciu was really good. We invited the children into the church where we did our program with them. The kids seemed excited to be at the church and take part in the program (probably because we missed three days) and enjoyed praying, singing, saying the Bible memory verse and colouring.
In the evening my friend Ana came over to pray together. I had a great time with Ana! I appreciate her encouragement that she gives me and it is such a blessing to pray together once a week. The rest of the evening I also watched a bit of TV and worked on my blog. It was a great day!
