This morning I woke up when my alarm went off at 6:00am. Honestly I was a bit worried that I would wake up Andreea especially being it was so early but thankfully she didn’t wake up. I felt really tired when I started my quiet time with God but then as I started reading my Bible and praying God gave me such a wonderful time with Him. In fact it was the best quiet time I have had in probably a week! At one point during my prayer time I really felt God’s presence and it was wonderful! Unfortunately Andreea woke up at 7:45am and then my quiet time had to end which was so disappointing. Oh, well I’m so glad I started my day with the Lord.

After Andreea woke up I told her good morning and I asked her how she slept. It was still kind of early for a Saturday morning so I told Andreea that I’d like to sleep a bit more and she could listen to my iPod while I slept for another hour or so. I think it was around 10am that Andreea and I decided to eat breakfast or should I say brunch. We ate cereal, toast, tangerines and juice. It is probably rare for the orphan kids to eat cereal for breakfast at the orphanage so for Andreea to eat it at my place it was probably a treat for her.

I asked Andreea if she would like Eva to come over for the day, she seemed excited about that so I called her and asked her to come over. Eva told me that she would be more than happy to come over! Originally Eva told me she would be at my place around 2:00pm but then when she didn’t show up at that time I called her. Eva left the orphanage a bit later so I told her that I needed to go to the grocery store and I’ll meet her there.

I had to get some groceries at Carrefour Express so Andreea and I went there together. The store is only a 5 minute walk from my place and I thought we might be finished before Eva came but we weren’t. I called Eva to see where she was. When I called her she was at my apartment! I felt so bad that I wasn’t home when she was there so I asked her to come to the store and meet us there. Unfortunately Eva had never been to the store before and she wasn’t sure how to get to it so I ended up meeting her at the children’s park near the store while Andreea watched the cart.

After I got everything I needed at the store (actually I did forget one thing and I had to pick it up later) we went back to my apartment. Around 3:30pm I met Salomea at the tram station. Salomena is one of Pathway to Joy’s new volunteers and she wanted to see Minnie (my cat).  For a few hours in the afternoon I had a busy and packed apartment! Salomea has a cat too so she really enjoyed meeting Minnie. I hope to meet her cat soon too.

I decided to make spaghetti for dinner since it is one of Andreea and Eva’s favourite meals when they are at my place. Today they helped me make the sauce so now they know how I do it. I really enjoy making meals with them and eating at my place. While we ate dinner Eva gave me a few of her songs for my cell phone from her phone through blue tooth. It was neat to see that because I have never seen that before!

When my Mom sent my Christmas gift boxes to me, she also included a gift for Eva because she took care of my cat for me when I went on a couple of weekend trips. She liked her gift and she was also very surprised too! Eva went home around 7:30pm. Oh, I asked Eva if she would be interested in taking care of Minnie for me while I will in Canada (May 2 – June 16). She told me that she is interested but I have to fill out some papers for her to stay at my apartment for that period of time. I really hope it works out because I am quite concerned about it. I would really appreciate your prayers for this, thank-you.

Around 7:50pm my Mom called me on Skype. By the time my Mom called me on Skype for some reason I was feeling a bit stressed because of how my day went and I was just not used to taking care of Andreea longer then an afternoon.  It was so great to talk to my Mom and Dad on Skype for around an hour or so this evening! My Dad even gave Andreea a tour of our house with the little laptop that they use when they go camping.

Then I spoke to my Mom for a while. Andreea decided to get one of the stools from the kitchen and sit next to me. After when Andreea joined us my Mom started asking her questions to get to know her more so I was the translator! Sometimes my Mom typed her questions or answers on the Skype chat window. Andreea thought that was hilarious so she laughed a lot because she really enjoyed it so much! After we spoke to my Mom, Andreea and I watched a bit of TV while we enjoyed popcorn. Then it was time to go to bed. It turned out to be a great day!
