This morning when I turned on my computer to play some worship songs for my quiet time I decided to check my e-mail first. I received an e-mail from my cousin Deanne. I was actually quite surprised to receive an e-mail from her because we haven’t been keeping in touch like we used to. Her e-mail was filled with words of encouragement.
She told me that she couldn’t sleep last night so she ended up going on my blog and read through the “about” page which is basically all about my testimony and missionary journey. She told me that she wanted to send me an e-mail to encourage me. I felt so encouraged by her e-mail and it really uplifted my spirit! What a great start to my day. I am so grateful for God putting it on my cousin Deanne’s heart to go on my blog and send me that e-mail. What a blessing she is to me to do that!
The rest of the day was a bit better than what I had yesterday. Unfortunately we were not able to go to Sabolciu again today but I hope tomorrow we will. Today I worked on my budget. I typed up what I have spent in the last three months which helps me see an overview of my budget. I just praise God for His financial provision in my life!
While I worked on my budget I got out another pipe cleaner for Minnie. The pipe cleaner went behind my desk and then she didn’t come out with her toy so I was curious to know why. I reached my hand under the lower shelf of my desk and I discovered a whole bunch of pipe cleaners. In fact it was definitely a record for Minnie because I found 60 pipe cleaners under my desk! I couldn’t believe there were that many underneath there. I wondered where all of them had disappeared to but now I know where her hiding spot is. 🙂
Magda who is our secretary came over to my place because she had to call our director who is currently in Canada. The first time we tried to phone her she wasn’t home so Magda suggested we go somewhere to get something to eat. It was really nice of her to treat me because she didn’t need to do that. After we got a bit to eat we gave Karen another try. Thankfully this time we got a hold of her and Magda was able to speak to her and ask her the financial questions that she needed to ask her.
In the evening I talked to my Mom on Skype. It was great to talk to her! I am so grateful for Skype because it is such a blessing to keep in touch with my family and friends through the internet and not have to worry about paying for phone cards like I did in the past. It was a good day.
Okay, this song has been on my mind for the last few days so I thought I’d post it on this blog entry. It’s such a great song and it has a great message! It is called “Blink” by Revive.
Here’s a link to the song. Enjoy!
