Sunday February 6, 2011

This morning I woke up so tired because I didn’t sleep very well last night. I hate it when you lay in bed all night and you have trouble sleeping. Though Minnie slept all night, that’s my lucky cat! I really wanted to go to church today but since I hardly got any sleep last night I decided it wouldn’t be such a good idea since I would be too tired to focus in church (when you’re really tired it’s especially hard when you try to concentrate in a second language).

Instead of going to church I decided to have my own “church” at home. I took a few hours to sing some worship songs, pray and read my Bible. After that I did my Bible study homework. Then a bit later on I watched an online church service on the internet. This is the third week I started tuning into this church that has their services live on the internet and I love it!

The church is going through a “I Quit” series. Today the sermon was another really great one. It was called “I quite comparing”. This is something that I can personally apply to my own life because I have struggled with this all of my life. I really have to stop comparing myself to other people because God loves me just the way I am and I am valuable in His eyes. Oh, it is so refreshing to listen to English sermons! If you’re interested in checking out the church, it’s called “Live church TV” and here is the link: http://www.lifechurch.tv/?p=91

In the evening I did my laundry and worked on my blog. I am so glad that I was able to write four entries today on my blog because I was a bit behind! I was trying to get my blog caught up so I can work on my newsletter for January. My blog is actually a huge help to me when I work on my newsletters because then I can look back on them and pull stuff from them to use for my newsletters. So, even though I didn’t get to church today it was still a good day!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
