Today I had a pretty busy day. In the afternoon I went to the Sabolciu gypsy village with Mircea and Norbi. Before we went there Norbi wrote out the three Romanian songs that we have been singing with the kids and he also translated them for me. I am so glad he was able to help me because this is so helpful and we also need this too for the film that we will do in June for the fundraising project.
When we were in Sabolciu we had a great time with the children and the program went really well too! We sang songs; Mircea brought a colouring sheet with Moses and the Ten Commandments so he told the children about it. Today we started teaching the children Philippians 4:13 in English. It was a bit hard for the kids to learn the verse especially with learning how to pronounce “strengthen” but eventually they got it.
I’m sure with more practice they will be able to learn the verse. When we do the film in June we are going to do two Bible verses but in both languages. I thought this would be a good idea for the children to do it both in Romanian and in English. I’m so glad they are so keen on learning!
In the evening I went to my girl’s Bible study on Esther. Tonight was another great teaching session by Beth Moore. A couple of things that stuck out for me were: God is waiting for us to trust Him and the longing is part of the wait. The main thing of the teaching session was how the events in Esther’s life had “turned around” and she had stepped more into her destiny. I cannot believe there are only two more teaching sessions left and then the Esther study is done. It was a great day!
