This morning my landlord came over at 10:00am. I gave him the money for my rent and for my bills for the next 3 months while I’ll be in Canada. He also gave me my new rent contract for the next year which is what I need for one of my papers for my Romanian visa. Last Sunday I asked Lori if she and Pami (the girl who will be staying at my apartment while I’ll be in Canada) to come over to my apartment when my landlord is here so they can meet each other.

I am very glad that Lori and Pami were able to come to my apartment to meet my

landlord today. I am even gladder that my landlord is alright with Pami staying in my apartment while I’ll be in Canada because for some reason I worried that he might have a problem because she’s gypsy. It turns out that I worried again for nothing because my landlord had no problems at all with Pami staying at my apartment while I’ll be out of the country. I seriously do not know why I was so worried because everything was fine!

After I gave my landlord the money for my rent and bills, got my new rent contract and he exchanged phone numbers with Lori and Pami it was time for him to leave. After my landlord left I told Pami that I had some more instructions to give to her about my apartment and for taking care of my cat. Pami doesn’t speak English so Lori translated for her. I basically just gave her the instructions how to use my washing machine and some other basic things.

After I finished giving Pami all the instructions Lori gave me a list that had the required papers that I would need to do my Romanian visa and some sample papers that I would also need to process my visa. I felt a bit overwhelmed when I looked at everything that I need to do but Lori told me not to worry that everything will be fine. Thankfully Minnie my cat didn’t seem stressed while they were at my apartment which is always a good thing because she tends to get stressed easy with new people.

Around 4:30pm I called Lori about something. I think I had a question about one of the

papers for my visa. After Lori answered my question that I asked her, she asked me if I’d like to come over for dinner at her house in an hour or so. I told her that would be great but I forgot exactly where she lives so she told me that Pami would meet me at my apartment and walk over with me to their house.

What a blessing it was to get invited over at Lori and Stephen’s house for dinner today! It was an even more blessing to have some one-on-one time with Pami as we walked together over to their house from my apartment. It was really great to get to know Pami a bit more and I was amazed that I was able to communicate with her just fine in Romanian! She is a really nice girl and I was even surprised that her uncle knows Cornel who’s my director. In fact I think it was her uncle Ghita who was the one who introduced Cornel to the Sabolciu gypsy village. Wow, what an amazing connecting that is!

I had a great time at their place. The dinner was delicious and then afterwards we played a game called sequence which was fun. After my time at their house I went home and spent the rest of the evening relaxing at home until I went to bed. What a great day!
