Today I had a very accomplishing day. I spent the morning with my Dad. It was really nice to spend time with him. He took me out for breakfast at a restaurant called “Day Break”. I had a delicious omelette filled with ham and cheese. After we had a great breakfast we did a couple of errands. First we went to the Rogers phone store. I wanted to see if I could get a new SIM card for my phone from Romania and use my phone here while I’m in Canada. It turns out that wasn’t a problem for me to do that! I got a new SIM card for only $10 and got a prepaid monthly plan for only $20 but I actually added another $10 to my new account.
A bit later on when I got home I was able to call the customer service and get my phone activated. I won’t be using my cell phone all the time here but I’ll just use it when I go out and absolutely need it. The great thing about the plan that I got is I have unlimited texting and free calls from 3:00 – 6:00pm! What a blessing it is to be able to use my own cell phone while I am in Canada and not have to borrow from anyone when I need it for emergencies!
After I went to the Rogers phone store I went to The Source which is the store my parents bought my new camcorder. There was a sale on some things so I was able to get a great deal on a new camera carrying case and also a memory card for my camcorder. Sales are always such a great thing! In the afternoon I went to Wal-mart store with both of my parents to get a few more things. I was very glad that I was able to get a converter plug for my charger for my cell phone so now my phone is fully useable here in Canada!
Just before dinner I was able to talk to my friend Lori who is friends with the girl who is staying at my apartment. It was great to talk to her and hear how Minnie my cat is doing! Lori told me that Pami goes to their house everyday for dinner and tells them about her day with Minnie. She also told me that Minnie still talks to the birds and has adjusted very well with being with Pami. I was very glad to hear that my cat is doing well!
In the evening I watched a movie with my parents called “Faith like Potatoes”. I actually already saw this movie once before in Romania on you tube. However the first time I saw it the subtitles weren’t in English (they were either in Spanish or Italian) whenever the Africans spoke so I missed that portion of the movie but I eventually got the context of what they were saying. This time when I saw the movie the subtitles were in English which was wonderful!
I highly recommend this movie to anyone because it is truly such an inspiring and faith building movie. It was definitely what I needed to watch right now as I’m waiting and trusting in God for the situation with my financial support to be resolved. It was another great day!
