Sunday March 13, 2011

Today was another extremely busy day. This morning it was a really good service at church. The worship was great and the sermon was also great! Then after the service I said my good-byes to my friends and the Youth/Young Adult Pastor. A couple of people didn’t actually know that I was leaving so they were surprised to hear when I told them that I am leaving for three months.

I feel disappointed though that I will not be at Stefan and Dana’s wedding, they are good friends of mine and their wedding is on Saturday March 26th. They do understand my situation but I still feel a bit disappointed that I won’t be at two of my closest Romanian friend’s wedding. I do look forward to seeing their pictures sometime after their wedding.

After church I decided to take pictures of my neighbourhood when I got home. It was kind

of a spontaneous decision because I did not plan on doing it but I didn’t have any pictures of my neighbourhood so I thought it might be a good idea to do it before I fly back to Canada. I have to admit it was kind of fun going around and taking pictures of my neighbourhood. Oh, I got a really cool picture of the old and new tram passing each other!

This afternoon my friend Ana came over to my apartment for an hour or so. It was great to see her before go back to Canada. She also prayed for me which was really nice of her to do that. She told me that I looked more at peace. I felt encouraged when I heard because I do want to go back to Canada with that peace and not feeling overwhelmed with stress. Karen my director also told me that I sounded more at peace too. I thank God that He has filled me with His peace. I need to learn to stay in God’s peace everyday at every moment.

I also spoke to my parents on Skype this afternoon. My parents are visiting with friends this weekend. They are kind of taking a mini vacation with friends at a hotel in the States. Last year in the spring they bought a small laptop for the purpose of taking it when they travel on their camping trips or other trips. I am so glad they got that laptop because it is really nice to keep in touch with them when they go away. It was nice to touch base with them before I fly home too.

After I spoke to my parents I finally got to my packing. I couldn’t believe how long it took me to pack! I think it took me a lot longer than I expected it to take because I did a lot of cleaning and organizing. I wanted to give Pami space for her to put her own things while I am in Canada so that’s why it took longer than what I had anticipated. I ended up going to bed around 1:00am which is extremely late because I have to leave tomorrow morning at 4:30am for the airport! Oh, I couldn’t believe how beautiful today was. It was like 18c today! It was like an early spring day before I leave Romania.
