I had a bit of a more accomplishing day which is a really great thing! I worked a lot on my blog and went back and added pictures to my previous blog entries that didn’t have pictures to. As I looked at the pictures I started to miss the gypsy children that I work with in Romania. I can’t believe how much I miss them and it hasn’t even been a week yet! My heart is definitely there with those precious children.
The past couple of days I have been starting to worry and get a bit anxious that I haven’t heard back from the missions department at the PAOC (Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada) since I last sent them an e-mail which was a little more than two weeks ago. Yesterday I spontaneously decided to search for new friends through my e-mail contacts on my facebook. Murray Cornelius was one of the persons that showed up on the list for suggested new friends through my e-mail contacts. He is the director of the missions department at the PAOC. He was probably on the suggested list because I had sent him an e-mail about three weeks ago and I added him to my contact list.
Today Murray Cornelius accepted my friend request and I ended up talking to him for a bit on facebook! I am so glad that I was able to connect with him on facebook today and what an answer to prayer for God to bring that connection. I asked him if he knows anything with my application because I haven’t heard back from Kathy (she is the lady who I have been corresponding with). He told me that somehow my e-mail got overlooked and they will get in touch with me as soon as they can.
I also apologized to Murray if I sounded a bit confusing when I wrote the letter explaining my situation that I’m already on the field and my desire to become a missionary under the PAOC. He told me there is no problem because they value networking and connections. When I heard that I was very happy because I had been concerned about that issue but it sounds like I don’t have to worry about that at all. Wow, it is amazing how God works because here I was starting to worry that I haven’t heard back from them and then today I got a chance to speak with the director of the missions department. I really need to start trusting in God a lot more!
