I had such a relaxing morning just hanging out and talking with my Aunt Sharon at her

apartment. We had a delicious cheese omelette for brunch. It was so good! It was so nice to spend time with Sharon especially since I haven’t seen her in a year. It was nice to see Sharon’s cat Angel but wow I couldn’t believe how scared she was of me. Angel her cat was so stressed out while I was there, though I have no idea why she would be because I love cats. I guess Sharon’s cat is just used to being alone with her and not anyone else.

Around 1:30pm we went to visit my Grandpa at the retirement home. It was nice to see him again. We were there for around an hour. I showed him my photo album that I put together of pictures from this past year in Romania. He enjoyed seeing the pictures and seemed to appreciate the update. He is one of my supporters and I am so grateful for his support.

After our visit with my Grandpa, Sharon and I went to my cousin Aaron’s house. Jonathan (my brother) slept over at his place last night. When we got to his house they were watching a movie downstairs so they didn’t hear us when we rang the doorbell but thankfully we were able to get a hold of them through my cell phone. We hung out for a bit at Aaron’s house and then Jonathan and I return home to Whitby.

We said our good-byes and then we went on our way home. Before we got on the 401

highway we got a bite to eat at Tim Hortons and then headed home. Usually it only takes an hour and a half from Waterloo to Whitby but the traffic and the weather was really bad and it took us an extra hour to get home. I thought it was a bit crazy how long it took us to get back to Whitby but there was nothing we could do about the traffic on the road. We were glad to be back when we got home after a long drive! The rest of the evening I just relaxed at home.

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
