Today was a pretty busy day. In the morning my Mom and I went to the mall to look for dresses for us to wear at my cousin Aaron’s wedding that will be in June. Unfortunately we didn’t have any luck of finding the dresses we were looking for. I hope I will find a dress that I will like before the wedding. At 12:30pm my family met with Jim and Kenlynne for lunch at the China King Buffet restaurant.

We spent a couple of hours together. We had a great time! They seemed to enjoy looking at my pictures that I brought. They have known my family for a long time. In fact all of my life because they knew my parents before they got married and Jim was the one of married my parents. I am so grateful to have them as one of my monthly supporters.

After our time with Jim and Kenlynne we went to the Old Navy store which wasn’t too far from the restaurant where we had lunch. I wrote a letter for the manager of the store about the flip flop collection project we are doing for the children at the gypsy village where I work. I also brought pictures (I ended up just developing regular size ones) for her to see too. The manager of the store was very nice. I really believe that God gave us favour when we were at the store because we not only were able to get 10% off but the flip flops were also on sale for $2.00 per pair instead of $2.50 per pair for that day. The store workers were also very accompanying and helpful to us too.

I am so grateful beyond what I can put into words that my Mom and I were able to collect enough donations for not only all 63 children in the village but also money for the cost to mail the boxes as well! God is so good!! I am so looking forward to giving all of the children flip flops when I return this summer and another woman in the States who is one of the boy’s sponsors is also collecting swimsuits so every child will get both a new pair of flip flops and a swimsuit! I can’t wait to see the smiles on the kid’s faces when we hand them out to them at the end of June! 🙂

After the couple of hours that we spent at Old Navy getting the flip flops for the gypsy children, we did a few more shopping errands and then we went to my Grandma’s house for the rest of the evening. I felt kind of bad that we were out almost the entire day and we didn’t spend much time with my Grandma but we didn’t have any other day to do it. I hope she understood that. It was nice to have a relaxing evening at my Grandma’s house.
