Today was another day I stayed home. During the day I did my Bible study homework and in the afternoon I studied some Romanian. I really enjoyed the Romanian lesson that I did today. It was a good review of some of the verbs that I have previously learned from my studies in Romania. I really need to keep up with my Romanian while I am home in Canada because I don’t want to lose any of it.
I love the website that I use on the internet because it is so interactive and it focuses on all four learning skills (reading, listening, writing and speaking). The website is called “Live Mocha”, it’s free, they have a variety of different languages (they offer 35 language courses) and you can even interact with native language speakers to get feedback on your writing and speaking assignments so I find it really helpful to learn Romanian.
In the evening Jeannine came over to my house for a couple of hours. It was so nice to get together with her and connect while I am home. It was great to be able to update her on what’s happening and show her some of my pictures from Romania. She has been supporting me over the last couple of years and I am so thankful for her continual support for the missionary work that I do in Romania.
She is also the first person to buy tickets for the spaghetti lunch fundraiser that I will be having in June at my church. She bought a ticket for herself and her husband. Jeannine also told me that it might be a possibility to get a few auction items from her husband’s work so that’s great news because we need some items to auction off! It was a great evening!
