Today I had a relaxing day at Kim’s house. It was nice to sleep in because I was exhausted from all of that travelling I did yesterday. The rest of the morning I did my devotions and unpacked my things. In the afternoon I went to the print shop where all of the printing is done for Pathway to Joy Ministries (that is the organization I work with in Romania). I saw Jim and Irene who do all of the design and printing for the ministry. The shop looked really nice and big too!

I am so glad I went to the print shop. I was able to get some more brochures, sponsorship packets and even a big poster for my fundraiser event. Jim even told me that he could put together 24 picture mugs for my spaghetti lunch fundraiser! He just told me to choose the pictures and he’ll do them for me before I leave St. Petersburg, Florida. Wow, I totally did not expect that! What a blessing from God!

In the evening I went to church with Kim for the mid week service. The service was really great! I could not believe the size of her church. It was probably the largest church I have ever been to in the United States or Canada! She goes to Calvary Chapel in St. Petersburg. She told me there are around 4,000 people that go to her church.

The sanctuary was very large but the lobby was also huge. The church had a mission’s cafe, a little restaurant, a book shop, a mini skate park and they have a beautiful painted children’s hall where the children’s ministry rooms are located. What an experience it will be for me to go to this church for the next week and a half! It was a good first full day in Florida.

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
