This afternoon my family headed to Waterloo around 3:00pm until tomorrow. Tonight we are staying at the Green Arces Campground which is just outside of Waterloo. We met with Sorina and her husband Angelo for dinner at Swiss Chalet restaurant. It was great to meet them again and hear how the process is going with opening up “Pathway to Joy Canada”. Unfortunately they did not get the incorporation yet which was a bit disappointing to me but I hope they will get it soon so they can go onto the next step which is applying for the registered charity number in Canada.

Before we said our good-byes I asked Sorina to do a video greeting for me which is just

Having dinner together.

for me to look at when I’m in Romania to be encouraged by people from home. Sorina encouraged me a lot in her greeting and she also did a second greeting in the Romanian language. I am so glad that we were able to see each other again before I head back to Romania. I am very grateful beyond what I could put into words how supportive they are to me in serving in Romania.

Today they gave me a donation which I was expecting at all. I really hope “Pathway to Joy Canada” opens up real soon. Next year when I come back to Canada for my yearly visit Sorina would like me to speak to different churches in Waterloo about the ministry in Romania which is exciting!

My family and I spent the rest of the evening at our campsite. It was a beautiful campground with a lake and I was even surprised how many trailers there were too. We watched a movie together in our trailer and then went to bed afterwards. It was nice to spend a bit of time together as a family especially that my brother Jonathan didn’t come with my parents and I to Florida in May.

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
