What a great day! Today I hung out with Salomea who is a good friend and also one of our
volunteers as well. Salomea came to my apartment for a few hours. It was great to spend time together with her after not seeing each other for a few months. She was also a huge help to me today in organizing the packages for all the children at the Sabolciu gypsy village. All of the children will receive brand new flip flops and swimsuits and also balloons, stickers and candy. All of it was donated!! I really hope they will like their gifts!
Oh, when Salomea was at my apartment I showed her the new water fountain that I
bought for Minnie when I was in Canada. I was amazed that Minnie drank from it and she wasn’t afraid like Grace and Libby were in Canada! Unfortunately while we were organizing the packages for the kids I noticed the water fountain went off and I think because of the different voltage the motor might have died.
Oh, that’s so disappointing because Minnie actually really liked it and she wasn’t afraid to use it! I don’t know maybe I can somehow get the plug or motor changed to the European voltage. Though I don’t know if that’s possible so we’ll see. I really feel so sorry for Minnie because I saw that she liked it and when I usually buy expensive things for her, she usually doesn’t care for them at all but this time she likes the water fountain. That’s really too bad!!
This evening I got together with Lori who is my friend and is helping me with my papers
for my Romanian visa. Lori is also the person who referred me to Pami who is the girl who stayed in my apartment while I was in Canada. I bought flip flops for her kids and Pami and a few other gifts for them to thank them for all of their help they gave me. I also needed to get together with her to give her all of my papers for my new Romanian humanitarian visa. Tomorrow we would like to fax the papers to the immigration office in Bucharest. I would appreciate your prayers that everything goes well with the process for my new visa, thanks so much!
