This morning I spoke to Sue on the phone. She found out that there was a misunderstanding about Sabolciu so I could have gone this week after all. I phoned Norbi because Mircea was off work this week and I asked him about it. He told me that today and tomorrow he is really busy with helping Boby and Beni (they are our two high school students from the village) with their end of the year school stuff. He told me that it wouldn’t be possible to go until Monday so I just have to wait a bit longer but at least I know that situation didn’t affect me after all. Oh, how I miss the kids!!
I would like to leave with you on this blog entry some prayer requests that I e-mailed to my Pastor in Canada today. Thank-you again so much for your prayers! It means so much to me to know that there are people praying for you at home in Canada while I serve here in Romania.
Here are some of my prayer requests that I’d like prayer for:
1) For me to generally just get re-adjusted to life back here in Romania especially with the language, culture and relationships with people here.
2) For God’s favour in getting my new Romanian one-year humanitarian visa. I am allowed to stay in the country for 90 days without a visa so I’m good until September 17th however I would like to have my visa no later than August 15th if that’s possible so I will be back on my visa status as soon as I can.
3) For God’s favour for a quick opening of the “Pathway to Joy Canada” office which will be my Canadian covering that I will have in the future under the ministry I am working with and also where my financial supporters will be able to channel their support through as well. Currently they are waiting for the papers to be approved for them to attain the incorporation and then they can apply for the registered charity number in Canada.
4) For me to have a good connection with the children and the families at the Sabolciu gypsy village when I return there on Monday June 27th. Please pray that God will continue to help our relationships to grow and develop.
