Today I spent the day with two of my favourite orphan girls (Eva and Andreea)!! It was really great to spend the day with them at my apartment and just hang out because we haven’t done that since March. I also had a very long talk with Andreea (Eva translated for me) about the relationship that she has with this guy that I don’t approve of at all because he is 19 years old and she is 13 years.

I know she is hurting and looking for love but this is definitely the wrong place to find that love. I tried to explain to her that it is far better to know and understand how much God loves her and not in this relationship. At the end of the conversation I asked Andreea if I could pray for her. She told me that she would like that so I did and Eva translated for me. I would really, really appreciate your prayers that Andreea would understand more of God’s love for her and she would get out of this horrible relationship. Thanks!

Oh, today when I was at the orphanage today I saw so many new children there and they are so young too. The youngest is 2 ½ years old. I think there are at least 14 new really young kids there now. I heard from the supervisor that some of them are from the Tinca gypsy village and they were just abandoned on the street.

It’s hard to believe kids are still being abandoned today in the year 2011. Oh, how that breaks my heart! Please pray for these precious kids that they would know that they have not been abandoned by God but that He loves them so much and He has a wonderful plan for their lives. Thanks!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
