Today was another busy day but it was also a great one! This morning I went to Sabolciu with the interns and also Norbi, Mircea and Salomea. The interns did their second day of the VBS program they are doing this week. They did such a great job! We sang songs, they did a skit about the fruits of the Spirit, then we did a craft and at the end we gave the children a snack.

After we did the VBS program with the children in the church I finally got the chance to

Thank-you for the gifts!!

hand out the flip flops and swimsuits today to the kids!! We went to each house to give the packages to the children. Some of the flip flops fitted perfectly and others were a bit too big (I don’t know how the swimsuits fit yet because they didn’t try them on today).

Unfortunately some of the kids didn’t like their gifts but some of them really like their gifts. It is hard for me to hear the ungratefulness and the complaining attitudes from them especially after all of the time and money that we put into these projects. It was great though to bless the children with these practical gifts for the summer months!

I spent the afternoon at the orphanage with the interns. It was great to spend time with the children there. Then in the evening I spent it at home. By the time I got home I felt exhausted from my busy day with the kids all day so it was nice to have a relaxing evening at home with Minnie.

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
