E foarte cald afara! (It’s very hot outside). Today it was 33c (91 f) and it is suppose to be scorching hot all week. I can really feel the heat because I don’t have air conditioning and it is so hard to sleep at night. I have a fan but it is not the best for sleeping because it is kind of distracting to sleep with the noise. I really hope Minnie my cat is drinking enough water because I definitely don’t want her to become dehydrated.
This afternoon I went to the Sabolciu gypsy village with Norbi, Salomea and Ibi. Today we
measured almost all of the children (around 50 kids) for their new clothes and shoes that they will get for Christmas. We will have a team here the first week of December and they are bringing shoes, outfits and a specific Christmas gift for each child at the village which is very exciting! We thought it would be easier to split into two groups so Norbi worked with Ibi and I worked with Salomea. It was a lot of work to measure all of the kids and also take new individual pictures of everyone but it is totally worth it in the end!
In the evening I stayed home. I studied a bit of Romanian, worked on my blog and chatted with friends. My friend Paula told me about the place where we will be going to the church retreat. She told me the link for the website and wow does it ever look like a nice place that we will be staying at! I was surprised how nice and beautiful the accommodations are. It is just two hours south from Oradea and it is located right in the heart of the Apuseni Mountains. Now I’m looking even more forward to this weekend!
