This morning I went to the immigration office to hand in the rest of my papers/receipts for my visa for my Romania. I’m very excited to tell that my file is now ALL completed for my new volunteer one-year visa for Romania! Praise God!!! What a relief after all of that stress. I would like to thank everyone for your prayers. This visa will be from September 13, 2011 to September 12, 2012. I will need to start the process of applying for a religious visa sometime in the New Year but for now I can relax.

In the afternoon I went to Sabolciu with Mircea, Norbi and Salomea. It was great to see the children today because I wasn’t able to see them earlier this week because I had to take care of my visa staff. Today we had a program with the children in the church. We prayed, we sang a couple of songs, I taught English and at the end we coloured. I am so proud of a couple of the kids now writing their own names! They are also very happy to be back at school too.  I really enjoyed being with the children and it was great to teach an English lesson too.

This evening I spoke to my parents on Skype for around 40 minutes. It was great to talk to them and tell them the great news with my Romanian visa. They seemed very happy to hear the good news and to know that everything is alright now. Right now my parents and my brother are in Myrtle Beach for a week’s vacation. They are having a great time and they will be there until this Sunday.

In the evening I also watched the season finale of America’s Got Talent. I’d like to say congratulations to Landau Eugene Murphy Jr for winning season 6! I have to admit though I was hoping that one of the dance groups would win because I really liked them however I’m still happy for Landau because he has a lot of talent too. Before Landau went onto the show he was washed cars for a living and he was homeless at one point in his life so him winning this talent show is a huge accomplishment for him. Oh, the grand prize was $1,000,000 dollars and an opportunity to headline a show on the Las Vegas strip.

The result show of the season finale had the top four and they all got to do special performances and there were also guest performances from other singers and bands too. The runner up was the Silhouettes (dance group), the third place was Team iLuminate (dance group) and the fourth place was POPLYEE (music band). This was the first season that I watched America’s Got Talent and I was very impressed with everyone’s talent that they brought to the stage. I’m excited for the next season!

Today my friend Salomea told me that Romania has the TV show “Romania’s Got Talent” which I was surprised because I didn’t know they had a show and they already completed their first season this year. When I spoke to my parents today they told me that Canada will have its very first season in March of 2012 of “Canada’s Got Talent.

I was curious if other countries have “Got Talent” TV show too so I went on the internet on the Wikipedia website to see if other countries have the TV show “Got Talent” and I was amazed how many countries around the world have it! There are 48 countries that have this show which includes the United States and Canada. I’m super excited that Canada’s first season will air on TV in March 2012!!

Some of the other countries listed on that website that have this show are: Australia, Britain (United Kingdom/Ireland), China, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, India, Mexico, Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Serbia, Sweden, and others. The “Got Talent” franchise is literally the fastest growing international franchises in the world! It is exciting to know there is a worldwide talent show on TV where everyone can show their talents to the world!
