This evening was awesome!! First I went to a Decean concert which was so great On Friday evenings we usually have chapel for the older orphan kids (teenagers/ young adults) but today we cancelled the chapel and went to the concert instead because a lot of them like Decean.

The group blessed us with ten free tickets for the kids which was such a blessing. It was awesome to worship God in the Romanian language with the Decean worship band! I thought it was also awesome to see some of the kids worship God with such enthusiasm!

Then I went to a prayer meeting that started at 10:00pm which was incredible! It was a night prayer meeting and I didn’t end up going home until around 4:15am in the morning. The prayer meeting was held at the international church. There is a Pastor from Nigeria, Africa who runs this church. There are other English speakers who are leaders of the church too. They run the services in English and have it translated to the Romanian language.

My friend Stefan invited me to attend the prayer meeting earlier in the week. At first I told him another time because I thought I would be too tired from being with the kids in the evening. However I changed my mind on Thursday to go because this week God has given me a deeper burden on my heart to pray more.

I wasn’t sure how to get to the prayer meeting so I went with my friend Geta and also some of her friends to the prayer meeting. When we got there I was there I was amazed to see how many people were there. We met in this small room and it was packed to the overflowing.

There must have been at least 70 people there and from different churches too. People came from all different ages too. We didn’t even have enough chairs so some people sat on the floor, others sat on the stairs and others even stood at the door. I was just blown away at how many people came for a prayer meeting at night time!

At first I thought how would this prayer meeting be since I never been to one during the night and will I be able to stay awake during the time I would be there. The prayer meeting was just awesome and so powerful! We sung worship songs, prayed lots and at midnight we had a break to enjoy a time of fellowship and sandwiches.

There was a prayer ministry time for people to receive prayer. I am very grateful for this ministry time because God really ministered to my heart during that time of the prayer meeting. Harold who is one of the leaders of the church (he’s from England) prayed for me first and then the Pastor of the church prayed for me. Both prayer ministry times were very powerful and I believe with all of my heart that God delivered me from some things in my life tonight.

When I left the prayer meeting I kept having this thought in my mind and I really believe it is from God because it lines up with scripture from Jeremiah 29:11. The thought that God placed in my mind is “a future of hope”. Yes, I believe that God has given all of us a future of hope and not of despair.

I praise God for everything He did in my life today at the prayer meeting! I also really felt welcome there so I’d like to go back next week for their meetings during the week. God is so faithful!
