This morning I had to go to the immigration office to finish my process for my new volunteer one-year visa. Gabriela who works there called me at 10:30am and told me that I need to go there today because the software arrived and they need my finger prints. I arrived at the immigration office at 11:30am. At first I thought I would have to wait in the long line up (I think all of the international university students returned to Romania for school and that’s why the line up was so long).

Thankfully I didn’t have to wait in the long line up because Gabriela asked me to go into the room. I got my picture re-taken; they got my finger prints and my signature into their new software. Now I can finally say that everything is fully completed for my new visa for Romania and I should get my new card in 2 weeks! Praise God!!

After I went to the immigration office I went to the post office to pick up the package/box

that my parents sent to me when they were in Myrtle Beach. It was so great to get some things from my parents! My Mom even individual wrapped my birthday presents so I won’t open them until my actual birthday which is on October 15th. It was so great to get more chocolate chip granola bars, some crystal light packages to make juice and other things! My cat also got some more temptation packages and she enjoyed playing in the box after I took everything out.

The rest of the day I stayed home. I did my laundry today and did some other things. In the evening I watched “The Amazing Race” TV show and I talked to my parents on Skype for almost 2 ½ hours. I didn’t plan on talking to them that long but time just slipped by as we talked. I mostly spoke to my Mom but I talked to my Dad too towards the end. I am definitely glad that it is free to use Skype when you are calling someone who also has a Skype account otherwise that phone call would have been quite expensive!

Update on Pastor Youcef:

In a troubling development, Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhan’s attorney, Mohammed Ali Dadkha has acknowledged the possibility of the charges against him being changed. Throughout the last two years and most recently at the Iranian Supreme Court, Pastor Youcef was on trial for apostasy and nothing else. Now, as Fox news reported, the Iranian government is claiming that he was charged with a number of crimes including being a threat to national security and a Zionist but not apostasy.  These charges are not true. I think Iran is feeling the international pressure from the media. Now more ever his life is in even more danger so let’s continue to pray for him.
