This morning I woke up exhausted because I had a terrible night sleep and I felt worse than yesterday but I want to be with the team and the kids so I decided to push through it today. I really want to thank everyone for your prayers. Today I believe God gave me an extra measure of His strength and grace! Please pray for God’s continual healing from this awful cold that I got a few days ago. Thanks!

Today was definitely an exhausting day yet at the same time it was an incredible day

Caleh and Dana

beyond what I could put into words! Early this afternoon we went to the Sabolciu gypsy village to spend our last day there with the team. The kids were excited to see the team again but when it was time to leave they were sad to say good-bye to them. Oh, Dana was really glad to see Caleh again and she pretty much stayed at her side the whole time we were there!

I have to admit the team did an incredible job with their four day VBS program in the village with the songs, Bible stories and crafts. Today the kids

Soneta and Costica.

made crowns. They kids were so cute wearing the crowns they made! The crowns represented that we are all of God’s princess and princes. 🙂

After our time in Sabolciu we came back to Oradea for the younger and older kids chapels (separate times). Both of them were just awesome!! We had 18 children come out for the younger kid’s chapel and the kids were so excited to spend time with the team. Steve and Tiffiny (they are missionaries with us) even brought their four children to the younger kids chapel and they seem to really enjoy it. The team did the same program for the younger orphan kids that they did at Sabolciu today and they did great!

The older orphan kid’s chapel was so great! We had really, really good attendance. I think there were around 22 kids that came out to the chapel which was probably the best we have had in a while. It was so neat to see how God put the program together at the chapel today. The team performed the “Set Me Free” skit, two girls shared their testimonies, Josh (he’s from the team) did some teaching and we had worship in Romanian and English! I think the kids really enjoyed it a lot and I hope they got a lot out of it too.

What an amazing day it was today! I cannot believe that tomorrow will already be the last day with the team. Wow, the week just flew by so fast!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
