This morning I went to church. It was great to go to church this morning because I had missed a few weeks so it was nice to see everyone again. The rest of the day I stayed home to get some rest from the busy week and try to recover from this awful cold. I decided to take a nap today because I just needed the rest since I felt so drained and tried. I hope I will get better soon.
The door bell woke me up from my nap, when I went to the door and I heard the word “police” I kind of panicked! I showed my rental contract to them and everything was fine. It turned out the older lady and the man who works for the police that came to my door just wanted to know how many people lived in my apartment to do an updated count for how many people lived in the building.
In the evening around 7:45pm I got a phone call that put a huge smile on my face! I do not know if I can share it publicly on my blog or not but just know that it is really, really good news and just know that God is doing so many awesome things in the lives of the precious orphan kids that I work with here in Romania. We serve such an awesome, awesome God!!!
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it is not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres.” – 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
This evening God reminded me what love is through His word. I realized that I really need to ask God to help me to love people like He loves them and not like I think I should love. God is a God of love and it is my deep desire to be His channel of love to the lost and hurting people around me especially to the orphan and gypsy children that I work with here in Romania.
